'Beauty and the Beast', a Tale as Old as Time
There are few movies that Hollywood has been able to remake with such a level of excellence that they outshine and/or enhance the original. The 2017 remake of the 1991 Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast, is one of those movies. I saw this movie two weeks ago with my mom and sisters and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The 1991 version was one of the Disney classics we loved watching growing up so we were pretty excited when the remake was announced. We also were a little bit apprehensive because, lets be honest, Hollywood doesn't really have a good track record when it comes to making remakes! But, we were proven wrong with this one. What I loved most about the movie was how closely they followed the original movie (same story, same songs). Yes, they embellished the story a little and added more songs but it only enhanced the movie, not detract from it.
